Mothership Monthly – Jan 23

The official Dry January was founded in 2013 and defined as “the movement of abstaining from alcohol consumption throughout the month of January.” Dry January was founded by Emily Robinson after she took a month off alcohol in January 2011 to prepare for a half marathon. She noticed how well she felt afterwards and people’s increasing interest in her zero alcohol lifestyle. 4,000 people signed up for the initial campaign, that number grew to 130,000 in 2022. Others “unofficially” take part in Dry January around the world, nearly 1 in 5 adults. Your journey is uniquely, well, YOURS.

You may make the decision to drink less alcohol, completely sustain altogether or simply to give Dry January a go. Kombucha is a great choice whether you are sober-curious, living a “damp” lifestyle or have given up alcohol completely. Alcohol kills good bacteria that lives in the gut and can cause stomach issues. Due to the naturally occurring probiotics, kombucha can help rebalance the gut microbiome. Besides, our kombucha is tasty and effervescent with cocktail inspired flavor profiles to satisfy your taste buds. Our beverages can be enjoyed mixed into a fun zero proof elixir or by themselves.
